PM E-DRIVE scheme: Govt issues new guidelines for EV charging stations; rollout to cover cities and highways

The Centre has unveiled operational guidelines for rolling out nearly 72,300 public EV charging stations, backed by a Rs 2,000 crore outlay under the PM E-DRIVE scheme. A tiered subsidy structure offers 100% for government premises and 80-70% for high-traffic public locations, prioritizing major cities and transport hubs for deployment.
