Online money gaming crackdown: Government proposes to make breaches non-bailable; warrantless searches allowed in draft rules

New draft regulations classify breaches of online money gaming protocols as non-bailable violations, extending accountability to all company personnel. Designated officers are authorized for warrantless searches and arrests under the PROG Act 2025, which prohibits online monetary gaming services. The Ministry of Electronics and IT is accepting public feedback on these stringent rules until October 31.
