Third edition of Green Energy Corridor to add 51,126 ckm transmission lines, 50 GWh BESS

The Indian government has approved the third phase of the Green Energy Corridor to enhance renewable energy transmission. This phase will create over 51,000 circuit kilometres of transmission lines and significant transformation capacity. It also includes the installation of Battery Energy Storage Systems to store excess renewable energy. The implementation involves a mix of new projects and network upgrades managed by state transmission utilities.
