“You Abused Women, Your Son Drove Jiah Khan To Death”: Somy Ali Drops Explosive Allegations Against Aditya Pancholi
In a shocking turn of events, former Bollywood actress and activist Somy Ali has launched a scathing attack on veteran actor Aditya Pancholi, accusing him of physically abusing multiple women and directly blaming his son Sooraj Pancholi for the tragic death of actress Jiah Khan. The explosive allegations, made via an Instagram post, have sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry and reignited conversations around abuse, accountability, and justice in Bollywood.
Somy Ali, who has previously opened up about her own experiences of domestic abuse and trauma, took to her verified Instagram handle and didn’t hold back. In a now-viral post, she wrote:
“Aditya Pancholi, how many women have you hit and threatened? You are no saint. And your son Sooraj is responsible for Jiah Khan’s death. The system may have failed, but karma never does.”
She followed it up with a string of Instagram stories and posts calling out the systemic protection that, she alleges, has allowed the Pancholi family to evade consequences.
Ali also shared cryptic messages and hashtags like #JusticeForJiahKhan, #AbuseHasNoExcuse, and #BollywoodSilenceIsDeafening, further emphasizing her stand against the powerful nexus she believes shields wrongdoers in the film industry.
Jiah Khan, a promising actress known for films like Nishabd and Ghajini, was found dead in her Mumbai apartment in 2013, in what was ruled a suicide. A six-page note found in her home accused her then-boyfriend Sooraj Pancholi of mental and physical abuse, leading to emotional torment.
Sooraj was arrested but later released on bail. After a decade-long legal battle, he was acquitted by a special CBI court in 2023 due to lack of evidence — a verdict that left many, including Jiah’s mother Rabia Khan, deeply disheartened. Rabia has consistently alleged foul play and accused Sooraj of abetment to suicide.
Somy Ali’s recent statement now adds fuel to the controversy, giving public support to the narrative that Jiah did not receive justice.
This is not the first time Aditya Pancholi has faced abuse allegations. Over the years, several women, including actresses Kangana Ranaut and Pooja Bedi, have accused him of violent and manipulative behavior.
Pancholi has denied all allegations in the past and has rarely spoken on record about them. With Somy Ali’s new claims, these disturbing patterns are once again under the spotlight.
What has caught many people’s attention is the lack of response from the film industry. Despite multiple high-profile accusations against Aditya and Sooraj Pancholi, many Bollywood celebrities and production houses have remained silent — a silence that Somy Ali and others call “complicit.”
Activists and fans are now urging the industry to stop protecting its own and start supporting survivors and whistleblowers who dare to speak out.
Twitter (now X), Instagram, and Reddit have exploded with support for Somy Ali. Hashtags like #JusticeForJiah, #SomyAliSpeaks, and #BoycottPancholis are trending, with users praising her bravery and calling for a reinvestigation into Jiah Khan’s case.
Some tweets read:
So far, neither Aditya Pancholi nor Sooraj Pancholi have responded publicly to Somy Ali’s accusations. Legal experts suggest that while her comments may not be enough to reopen the case, they could apply pressure on authorities and public sentiment, especially if more voices come forward.
Somy Ali’s fiery accusation is not just a personal outburst — it’s a reflection of the pain and frustration many feel about how power dynamics in Bollywood can suppress truth. Whether her allegations lead to renewed investigations or not, her voice adds to a growing chorus demanding transparency, justice, and real consequences for abuse — no matter how famous or influential the accused may be.
