Yamaha has kicked off 2025 with a stylish upgrade to its best-selling R15 range in India. The popular entry-level supersport motorcycle now gets a set of new colour options, adding fresh appeal to one of the most loved bikes in its segment. With updated aesthetics and competitive pricing, the 2025 R15 lineup is set to attract both enthusiasts and young riders looking for a balance of style and performance.
The new update focuses on visual upgrades, with Yamaha introducing vibrant paint schemes and graphic updates across different R15 variants. These fresh colour choices give the motorcycle a sportier edge, ensuring it continues to stand out on Indian roads. The company has retained the sharp design, aerodynamic fairing, and aggressive stance that make the R15 a mini replica of Yamaha’s larger superbikes.
While the update is largely cosmetic, the R15 V4 continues with its proven 155cc liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine. It produces around 18.4 PS of power and 14.2 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox and assist & slipper clutch. Riders also benefit from Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) technology, ensuring strong performance across different RPM ranges. The R15M, the premium variant, retains exclusive features like quick-shifter and premium finishes.
With the 2025 update, Yamaha has also revised the pricing slightly. The new R15 range now starts at around ₹1.82 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base variant and goes up to approximately ₹1.95 lakh for the premium R15M, depending on the colour and trim. The new shades are expected to boost demand, particularly among young college-goers and sports bike fans.
The 2025 Yamaha R15 range proves once again why this motorcycle continues to dominate the entry-level sports bike market. With its new colour palette, cutting-edge features, and proven performance, Yamaha has given enthusiasts yet another reason to fall in love with the R15. If you’ve been eyeing a sporty and reliable motorcycle, the updated R15 lineup deserves a spot on your wishlist this year.
