Auto sector drive: Nitin Gadkari sets 5-year goal to make India no.1 globally, highlights Rs 22 lakh crore growth and logistics gains

Nitin Gadkari announced the goal to elevate India’s automobile industry to global leadership in five years. The current industry size is Rs 22 lakh crore. Logistics costs have decreased to 10% of GDP. The express industry is projected to double by 2030, creating millions of jobs. This sector contributes significantly to GST and customs revenue. Domestic express dominates the market.
